Our School Values:

At Corsham Primary School we actively promote values which we believe will prepare pupils for life in modern Britain. To achieve this we use our outstanding curriculum as the main vehicle to enable the pupils to relate experience to learnt knowledge. In particular these values are woven into assemblies, citizenship events and many more aspects of personal, social, moral and cultural development.
The curriculum promotes:
- Democracy
- The rule of law
- Individual liberty
- Mutual respect
- Tolerance of those different faiths and beliefs
- Social, moral, cultural and spiritual development
The School's positive and inclusive atmosphere ensures that pupils experience these values "in action" on a daily basis.
We teach these values through our PSHEE curriculum, assemblies, school council, debates and discussions.
Please see our staff brainstorms about social, moral, cultural and spiritual development and the strategies we use to promote them at Corsham Primary.

Rights Respecting School Award
We are delighted that we have achieved this award twice, the latest being May 2015. Please read our letter from UNICEF to the children and our assessment report.
The RRSA is a UK programme that seeks to put the UN Convention on the Rights of a Child at the heart of the school's ethos. The award focuses on developing children’s understanding of their rights and rights respecting actions both in school and in within the wider community. It aims to improve the well-being and happiness of all children and to create an environment where the Rights of the child are taught, protected and promoted.
There are 42 articles in the convention but they can be summed up as follows:
