Being a Scientist

We believe that science is central to many aspects of life and that children should be encouraged to look at the world as scientists.

Through our curriculum and other STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) opportunities, we aim to ensure that all children have the building blocks to allow them to continue learning and developing as scientists and maybe inspire them to become the scientists of the future!

For example, in the spring of 2020, we were very fortunate to welcome STEM ambassadors from the MoD Corsham into school, who spent valuable time with our pupils exploring various ways science, technology, engineering and maths allow the Ministry of Defence to complete their important roles.

This exciting week and a half made it into the Gazette and Herald

This is what a couple of our pupils’ said:

I will never forget Friday. We learned so much and got to try loads of experiments and gadgets.

Neve – Aged 10

I loved meeting people from the RAF and army; the night vision goggles were really cool!

Archie – Aged 11
