We warmly welcome some new staff at Corsham Primary - Nicola Black and Max Henshall are teacher trainees, working with us this term and Mrs Natalie Spears has joined our TA team at Broadwood.  We hope they all enjoy working with us and being part of the Corsham Primary family.

Of course, a big, warm welcome to all of our new children - it is always wonderful to see new faces and hope that everyone settles happily into their new classes.

Exciting new singing at Corsham Primary...

Hello and welcome to Corsham Primary School's brand new Pop Choir assemblies for children in Key Stage 2!

My name is Phil Donovan and I now have the pleasure of running singing assemblies at Pound Pill and Broadwood.

Corsham Primary School is leading the charge for exciting and inclusive music education, and I'm very excited to be a part of that. Every term I will let you know what songs we are working on and would encourage you to sing them nice and loud at home along with your child! This week's sessions were amazing and everyone sounded great, I'm very much looking forward to hearing the improvement in ability and confidence as the weeks go by.

Songs for Term 1 are:

Waves by Dean Lewis
Pompeii by Bastille
Hold Back The River by James Bay

Attendance

Corsham Primary School supports the principles, practice and procedures outlined in the DfE school attendance document. We believe pupils can only take full advantage of their education by regular and punctual attendance at school to ensure continuity of learning.

If you need to report your child's absence, please telephone and leave a message on the office answerphone giving the reason for absence.  This is important for our daily registers which must reflect accurately, why a child is not in school.  Also, if your child will not be attending school due to a planned event, please request a Leave of Absence form from the school office.

School Lunches

The cost of a school lunch from September has increased to £2.65.  We regret this increase but sadly is unavoidable with the nationwide increase in food and production costs.  Children in Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to universal free school meals.  From Years 3-6, lunches are chargeable unless parents are entitled to benefit related free school meals.  If you have any questions about this, please contact the school office.

Please note that lunches need to be pre-ordered (even if entitled to FSM or UFSM) and paid for (Years 3-6) using your SchoolMoney account or Teachers2Parents app on your mobile.
