Staff News

We have said a fond goodbye to Miss Abby Turton, who left the Lunchtime Playworker team last month, but happily, joined Chartwells to work in our kitchen, so we still get to see her every day!

This term, we sadly say goodbye to Mrs Sara Williamson, who works in the Pound Pill office, and Mrs Jess Clark, one of our year 2 teachers.  We wish them well in the future.

You may have seen in the recent edition of Pickwick Papers, that Mrs Gina Cooke, our Executive Headteacher, is taking early retirement at the end of this term.  Gina has been at Corsham Primary for 26 years, and in that time, has been an integral part of developing Corsham Primary School into the wonderful place it is to learn.  Gina is a skilled and dedicated educator who has devoted her working life to a career in teaching, and her expertise has touched the lives of a great many children over the years.  As a headteacher, she has guided and supported the development of many senior leaders at Corsham Primary and across the trust.  I know you will wish her well and join us in saying  “Thank you Mrs Cooke, for everything you have done for the children and staff of Corsham Primary School”.  Gina your legacy as a leader will long remain with us as you move onto your new adventures, and we will miss you very much as you begin this new and exciting next chapter in your life.

With Christmas on the horizon, we hope that everybody enjoys this celebratory busy term and has a fabulous time.  Thank you for all your kind wishes; we look forward to seeing you again in the new year!
