Message from our Headteachers ...

We wish all of our parents, carers, volunteers, staff and children, a very Happy New Year and hope that everyone had a wonderful break over the Christmas holidays.

Following our Christmas performance collections, £856 was raised and shared between our two local charities: Corsham Churches Foodbank and The Brunel Shed. Thank you to everyone who came along to enjoy the children's performances and donated to these very worthy causes.

Staff News ...

We are delighted to welcome Miss Hannah Parson, Miss Lucy Organ and Mrs Carlene Barrett to our Pound Pill staff team.  Miss Parson has joined the teaching team, Miss Organ has joined our admin team and Mrs Barrett has joined our lunchtime playworker/technician team.  We hope they will both enjoy being part of the Corsham Primary family.

This month, we sadly say goodbye and thank you to Mrs Ella Thomson who is leaving our teaching team.  We extend our thanks to Mrs Thomson for everything she has done for the children and wish her well.

Best Eco School Award

We were absolutely delighted to learn from Corsham Town Council, that Pound Pill and Broadwood were joint winners of the first ever Best Eco School competition as they were so impressed by all the great environmental initiatives we are running at both sites.  Each site has received a £25 voucher to spend on nature books at The Corsham Bookshop.

Congratulations to all the Eco Councillors, and our leaders, Mrs Pink and Miss Barber who hosted the judges when they visited us.  We are absolutely thrilled to have won this amazing award and that our collective efforts are making a positive difference to our environment.
