We are all enjoying the weather brightening after a cold January!

Don't forget we have a Teacher Training day on Friday 14 February, so school will be closed, and a Parent/Carer Open afternoon/evening on Monday 24 February (school closed for teaching on this day). We are looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible to discuss your children's learning and progress - this is always a lovely event and so nice to see parents and carers for a catch-up either face to face or by telephone.

This month, we have Safer Internet Day on Tuesday 11 February where we will be talking all about staying safe and being aware of protecting ourselves when online.

Attendance

Corsham Primary School supports the principles, practice and procedures outlined in the recently updated DfE School Attendance document. We believe pupils can only take full advantage of their education by regular and punctual attendance at school to ensure continuity of learning.

January attendance across both sites was 94.9%

Unauthorised absences across both sites was 1.1%

Number of late arrivals across both sites was 0.7%

If you need to report your child's absence, please telephone and leave a message on the office answerphone giving the reason for absence. This is important for our daily registers which must reflect accurately, why a child is not in school. Also, if your child will not be attending school due to a planned event, please request a Leave of Absence form from the school office or find one at the bottom of our home page on the website.

Congratulations to Elliot N, Ella H, Dexter Y, Margot J, George H, Lena B, Charlie S, Albie W and Charlie D who have each received an achievement pen for completing 12 merit cards.

Congratulations to Sydney M, Ella A-C, Kitty A, Amelia C, Lottie G, Ollie O, Theo C, Daisy L, Imogen E, Amelia S, Tilly E, Ender O, Reuben B, Pippa S, Ruby D and Bethany G who have been entered onto the roll of honour for completing 15 merit cards.

Congratulations to Lucy J, Jackson K, Leon O-D, Nevaeh J, Orrin P, Jacob S and Jaxon P who have each received a golden badge for completing 18 merit cards.
