Welcome to our March edition

Message from the Headteachers ...

Spring is on the way!  We are looking forward to the children enjoying more outdoor learning with our forest school practitioner.

We will be embracing World Book Day on 6 March - everyone can dress up as their favourite book character, or wear their pj's for the day.  We will be talking about all things literary, as well as reading and sharing stories.  In the evening, the PTA are hosting their Bedtime Stories event - all children welcome (6pm - 7pm).

On 10 March at Pound Pill and 11 March at Broadwood, we will have the school photographers in, taking group class photos and leavers photos.  Please remember to wear sweatshirts/fleeces on this day!

Attendance

Corsham Primary School supports the principles, practice and procedures outlined in the DfE school attendance document. We believe pupils can only take full advantage of their education by regular and punctual attendance at school to ensure continuity of learning.

Overall Attendance during February across both sites 95.11%

Unauthorised absences during February across both sites 1.38%

Percentage of children who were late across both sites in February 0.77%

If you need to report your child's absence, please telephone and leave a message on the office answerphone giving the reason for absence.  This is important for our daily registers which must reflect accurately, why a child is not in school.  Also, if your child will not be attending school due to a planned event, please request a Leave of Absence form from the school office or find on of these also at the bottom of the home page on our website.
