Welcome to our June edition

Message from the Headteachers ...

As we near the end of the academic year, there’s still so much for our children to look forward to!

Our Year 6 pupils, in particular, have an exciting time ahead as we celebrate their journey at Corsham Primary. One of the highlights will be their production of 'Be our Guest' inspired by Disney's Beauty and the Beast - a wonderful way to mark their final term with us.

This term is packed with activities, from sports events and music evenings to class swaps and meeting new teachers. It’s a busy and exciting time for everyone!

A quick reminder: our lost property bins are overflowing! If your child has misplaced a sweatshirt, coat, lunchbox, or anything else, please encourage them to check the bins regularly. Reuniting items with their owners helps us avoid having to dispose of them. Thank you for your support!

Attendance

Corsham Primary School supports the principles, practice and procedures outlined in the recently updated DfE School Attendance document. We believe pupils can only take full advantage of their education by regular and punctual attendance at school to ensure continuity of learning.

May attendance across both sites was 99.85%

Unauthorised absences across both sites was 1.63%

Number of late arrivals across both sites was 9.19%

If you need to report your child's absence, please telephone and leave a message on the office answerphone giving the reason for absence.  This is important for our daily registers which must reflect accurately, why a child is not in school.  Also, if your child will not be attending school due to a planned event, please request a Leave of Absence form from the school office or find one at the bottom of our home page on the website.
