Welcome to our July edition

Message from the Headteachers ...

As we approach the end of another fantastic academic year, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful pupils, parents, carers, extended families, and dedicated staff. It’s been a superb year at Corsham Primary, filled with memorable moments—from residential trips and talent shows to assemblies, forest school adventures, music evenings, and, most importantly, joyful learning!

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Mrs Jones gave birth to two healthy twins - Ryan and Tobias - and is doing well.  We are looking forward to meeting them for cuddles very soon.

We bid a fond farewell to our Year 6 pupils as they move on to the exciting next chapter of their education at secondary school. We’re confident they’ll thrive, discovering new passions and friendships along the way.

We’re also saying goodbye to some valued members of our team: Mrs Ferris, Mr Menhenitt, Mr Armitt, Miss Parson, and Mrs Besant. We wish each of them the very best as they embark on new journeys and embrace fresh challenges.

A special mention goes to Mr Armitt, one of our longest-serving staff members, who has been with Corsham Primary for an incredible 18 years! Over the years, he’s worn many hats—Teaching Assistant, Lunchtime Playworker Manager, and Teacher’s PA. He’ll be greatly missed, and we hope he enjoys a well-earned retirement filled with family time and peaceful fishing trips in Norfolk.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to welcome new staff members next term—Mrs Sanchez-Harris, Miss Faulkner and Miss Abrams. We hope they will be very happy working with our lovely staff team.

Wishing everyone a relaxing and sunny summer break. We look forward to seeing you all in September.

Attendance

Corsham Primary School supports the principles, practice and procedures outlined in the recently updated DfE School Attendance document. We believe pupils can only take full advantage of their education by regular and punctual attendance at school to ensure continuity of learning.

June attendance across both sites was 94%

Unauthorised absences across both sites was 2.7%

Number of late arrivals across both sites was 0.48%

If you need to report your child's absence, please telephone and leave a message on the office answerphone giving the reason for absence.  This is important for our daily registers which must reflect accurately, why a child is not in school.  Also, if your child will not be attending school due to a planned event, please request a Leave of Absence form from the school office or find one at the bottom of our home page on the website.
