As we wrap up a fantastic school year, we’ve enjoyed celebrating all the achievements and milestones with our wonderful school community.

Farewell Year 6
Our Year 6 pupils have officially said goodbye to primary school. We’re incredibly proud of them and wish them every success as they move on to secondary school.

Welcome New Starters
We’re excited to welcome our new Foundation Stage children in September. It’s been a pleasure meeting them during play sessions, and we’re confident they’ll settle in brilliantly.

Staff Changes
We bid a fond farewell to some of our staff who are off to pastures new.  We are delighted to welcome Mrs Woodward, Mrs Sanchez and Miss Faulkner who will join our teaching team, and Miss Carr and Mrs Ewles joining our TA team in September.

Thank You, PTA
A huge thank you to our amazing PTA, who raised over £6,500 this year—funds that have provided valuable resources for our classrooms.

Volunteer Readers
We’re so grateful to our volunteer readers for their time and dedication. Your support has made a real difference to our children’s learning.

Thank You Families
To all our parents and carers—thank you for your kind words, cards, and gifts. Your continued support means so much to us.

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, and sunshine-filled summer break. We look forward to seeing you in September!

PS - Please don't forget that ordering/paying for school lunches will need to be done in advance online through your Arbor account.  Thank you.

Ready, Set, Read! Summer Reading Challenge 2025

This year, the challenge is for children aged four to 11 to read six library books (or the equivalent) over the summer holidays in return for various fun prizes, including a certificate and badge on completion. Children register at a Wiltshire library where they receive their own special reading record. It's all free and can make a real difference to your child's motivation and enjoyment of reading.

The 2025 challenge is called Story Garden - Adventures in Nature and the Great Outdoors. This exciting new theme will inspire children to tap into a world of imagination through reading, exploring the magical connection between storytelling and nature. The Summer Reading Challenge launches in Wiltshire libraries on Saturday 5 July and runs until Saturday 6 September.

The first two weeks (5 to 19 July) will be for registration only, from Monday 21 July children can start to collect stickers (and continue to register). Children must be library members to take part - it's free and easy to join.

Children can read any books of their choice; they don't have to be linked to the theme and they can read/listen to eBooks and audiobooks as well. Although the challenge is to read six books, there is flexibility in this number, especially for children who struggle with reading or read longer books.

Books on the official Story Garden book collection(opens new window) list are available to reserve and borrow for free from any Wiltshire library. The list includes a mix of fiction (picture books, early readers and middle grade titles), non-fiction, poetry and graphic novels, plus several dyslexia-friendly.

Enjoy some summertime reading!

Attendance

Corsham Primary School supports the principles, practice and procedures outlined in the DfE school attendance document. We believe pupils can only take full advantage of their education by regular and punctual attendance at school to ensure continuity of learning.

Overall attendance in July = 93.5%
Percentage of children late to school during July = 0.16%

If you need to report your child's absence, please telephone and leave a message on the office answerphone giving the reason for absence.  This is important for our daily registers which must reflect accurately, why a child is not in school. (Broadwood 01225 811997/Pound Pill 01249 712387)
