Welcome to the New Academic Year!

We are delighted to welcome everyone back to Corsham Primary for what promises to be another exciting year ahead. A particularly warm welcome goes to all the new pupils and families joining us this term. Whether you are beginning your school journey in Reception or joining one of our older year groups, we are thrilled to have you as part of our school community. We hope your time here will be filled with friendship, happiness, learning, and many wonderful memories.

We hope you all enjoyed a fantastic summer break spent making special memories with family and friends. As we begin the new school year, we would encourage families to keep an eye on our website for the latest news and updates. In particular, our Letters Emailed Home page and school calendar are great places to find important information and stay up to date with everything happening across the school.

Thank you and well done to all the children who took part in the library’s Summer Reading Challenge and also Corsham Primary’s Book a Day challenge over the summer.

Over the six weeks, our dedicated Facilities Manager, Mr Boros, has been incredibly busy getting the school ready for the new academic year. From refreshing classrooms with new paint and carrying out essential maintenance, to installing our fantastic new reading shed and overseeing a range of building improvements, he has worked tirelessly to ensure that the school is welcoming, safe, and ready for learning. His hard work and commitment have made a huge difference, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he has done while the rest of us were enjoying a well-earned break.

Finally, we would like to extend a very warm welcome to the newest members of our staff team. We are delighted that you have joined us and look forward to a fantastic year together, filled with learning, laughter, success, and growth.

Attendance

Corsham Primary School supports the principles, practice and procedures outlined in the recently updated DfE School Attendance document. We believe pupils can only take full advantage of their education by regular and punctual attendance at school to ensure continuity of learning.

If you need to report your child's absence, please telephone and leave a message on the office answerphone giving the reason for absence.  This is important for our daily registers which must reflect accurately, why a child is not in school.  Also, if your child will not be attending school due to a planned event, please request a Leave of Absence form from the school office or find one at the bottom of our home page on the website.
