Thank you to everybody who donated money to Comic Relief using our Corsham Primary donation link online.  We raised a total of £435.50 by dressing up in red and having a lot of fun at the same time.

Our amazing PTA raised a whopping £446 across both sites from their popular Bedtime Stories event recently.  This term, the PTA have paid for Spanish books and Early Years Foundation Stage resources.

Happy Easter to our children, parents, carers and friends.

Quality Mark in Practice – Three in a row for Corsham!

Recently, our PE Lead Athletes wrote an article for the Physical Education Matters journal and the Association for Physical Education (afPE) (Twitter #PEMatters @afPE_PE) and it has now been published in their Spring Edition.

Excerpt: “Corsham Primary demonstrated outstanding commitment to improvement in physical education, school sport and physical activity.  A strength of the school is the confidence, resilience, teamwork and leadership skills which almost all the children demonstrate which permeate their attitude to learning.”

Tag Rugby Tournament

On Thursday 30 March, Corsham Primary School attended the local Tag Rugby Tournament at The Corsham School. We played 5 matches in total. Great tagging, super lines of running, incredible speed and unbelievable teamwork; the team came out with phenomenal wins, including a 9:1 win and an 8:0 win!

The tournament finished with Corsham Primary School having a clean slate of no losses, therefore winning all their matches and winning the Tag Rugby trophy.

Well played: Yasmin, Wynne, George, Archie, Harrison, Alexia, Libby, Devin, Henry and Louis.

Book Reviews - Warrior Cats series

I am reading the first series of Warrior Cats and it is amazing.  If you like crime and battles, this is for you.  Four Clans. One Destiny.  And if you don't like cats, invest in some of Erin Hunter's other books.  By Ruby M 5W

It starts with a cat called Rusty, venturing into the wild; he later becomes Firepaw, then Fireheart and then Fire Star!  It is a thrilling tale and there are 8 series!  Spine tingling.

Happy Work Book Day - Dancing Books Image

We celebrated World Book Day on Wednesday 1st March - there were some truly spectacular sights at school ...

We had fun coming to school dressed as our favourite characters. We spent the day designing a bookmark, sharing our books with different year groups across the school, taking part in a traditional story quiz, writing our own character descriptions and lots of other book related activities.
