Welcome to Corsham Primary School. Our names are Lindsay Fry and Kerry Parker, and we are the Headteachers at this wonderful school. We believe that Corsham Primary is a very special place and would like to take this opportunity to tell you about the school and the children and staff within it. We are particularly proud of the high quality teaching and learning supporting children’s progress and attainment; many of our children make progress faster than their peers nationally and attain the best outcomes for themselves. You can also view our Virtual Tour.
We always believe that in order for a school to be successful, it must be happy. We nurture a strong sense of partnership between the school and the family, that lies at the heart of the children’s happiness and success. Corsham Primary is a fun place to be, and there is always something happening to enhance our exciting and thought-provoking curriculum. We enjoy and participate in enriching experiences that enhance our curriculum and support our learning.
Corsham Primary School was one of the founding schools in Pickwick Academy Trust. For more information about the work of the trust, please read the CEO, Mr James Passmore’s letter.
Unicef Rights Respecting School Award
We are delighted that we have achieved this award three times, the latest being June 2022 where we achieved the Gold Award.

We regularly celebrate successes with the children, whether achieved in school or beyond. We know this helps children develop their self-confidence and self-esteem, which in turn encourages them to continue to do their very best. We hold a wide range of events throughout the year when we invite parents into the school to help us celebrate the achievements of all the children, such as Year group learning celebration assemblies.
As part of our ongoing commitment to the mental health and wellbeing of our whole school community, we are delighted to be starting the Wellbeing Award for Schools, which is a year-long project to support our current provision and develop it further.
The Award was developed in partnership with the National Children’s Bureau (NCB), and is intended to help schools prepare and equip themselves to promote emotional wellbeing and positive mental health across the whole school community. NCB’s vision is an education system where good emotional wellbeing and mental health are at the heart of the culture and ethos of all schools, so that pupils, with the support of their teachers, can build confidence and flourish. The key to robust emotional wellbeing is being able to recognise, understand and label the emotions we feel, and develop strategies to help us express and regulate them appropriately. The school uses an approach called RULER to support the children with this. To find out more, Click here
