About Us

Educational Disadvantage Charter

At Corsham Primary School, we are committed to supporting all pupils to fulfil their potential in their learning while preparing them for life ahead. We recognise that some pupils are at risk of underachievement because of the impact of socio-economic disadvantage on their learning, wellbeing and personal development.

As a school (and Academy Trust), we have signed up to the Wiltshire 'Educational Disadvantage' Charter which is an ambitious framework of best practice statements of success for all pupils, including those who may experience barriers of disadvantage.

We are committed to continuous improvement at Corsham Primary, with a focus on the following areas:

Vision, Culture and Leadership
Teaching
Targeted Academic Support
Wider Strategies

The Charter is designed to be achieved through a joined-up approach involving school staff, the Academy Trust, our governing body, along with parents, carers and the community.
