We’ve had a brilliant start to the summer term. 

We have started our new enquiry, 'Where does our water come from?'. We explored what the difference is between a solid, liquid and a gas. We also thought about which art techniques are used to paint water.

As authors we have started our poetry unit, based on the poem 'The River' by Valerie Bloom. We spent some time learning the poem and then performed it to the class with expression and fluency. Over the coming weeks we will be writing our own poems based on The River.

Next week we will be investigating if materials can change their state of matter, discussing evaporation and condensation and finding out about the major rivers in the UK.
